Please note: The in-person class is limited to the first 26 registrants in the upstairs classroom but we can accommodate an additional 15 people in the overflow space on the ground level with a large viewer (which is preferable to some). All activities are conducted as a group.

Listening to the Planets
The planets have been sounding in cosmic space for millions of years. Musicians, philosophers, mathematicians, healers, astrologers, and astronomers have sought to hear the sounds of the planets since ancient times. The direct experience of listening to planet tuning forks awakens the archetype of the planets deep within our collective unconscious.
Tuning In Through Resonance
We are taught that a planet is a heavenly body millions of miles away. This is true from a form perspective; however, from a wave perspective, the tone of a planet is available right now through resonance. A radio or television station can be thousands of miles away, and we can tune into it without thinking about distance or needing to be “in the station.” In a similar way, we can tune into a planet without having to be “on the planet.”
All living beings are immersed in the sonic waves caused by the movement of the planets. Our unconscious mind knows them just as our bodies know how to breathe. When we are tuned into a planet or planets, their sounds unconsciously affect our behaviors. Understanding these effects and how to make them conscious in order to better integrate them is the basis of the ancient art of astrology.
Music of the Spheres
Pythagoras of Samos was a Greek mathematician, philosopher, and musician who lived around 550 B.C. He discovered Pythagorean Geometry and is considered to have recorded the world’s first facts in mathematical physics. Pythagoras conceived of the whole universe as a vast musical instrument. He called the vibrating strings of the universe the “Music of the Spheres.” The Pythagoreans assigned musical values to the stars and planets, and then they related those values to all aspects of living.
The concept of planet tuning forks and planetary resonance is not so extraordinary in the light of the discovery of a geomagnetic wave frequency known as the Schumann Resonance. This resonance is a magnetic pulsation between the surface of the earth and the ionosphere which oscillates at a frequency of 7.8 cycles per second. The same frequency has been correlated with alpha brain wave patterns and is associated with states of deep meditation. It may be the frequency of Gaia which is achieved in altered states of consciousness during shamanistic rituals. By tuning into this frequency, we become one with the Earth.
Working with the Planet Tuners
We will learn the sound and behavior of each planet in order to integrate their behavioral qualities into our life. We will work with the Planet Tuning Forks to connect with different combinations of archetypes. When we are tuned into a planet their sound affects our behaviors. Our behavioral relationship with Moon cycles is continually being studied by scientists. It is still common to use references to a planet to describe human behaviors. A jovial giving personality is described as Jupiterian. Relationship counselor John Grey wrote Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus in which he describes Mars and Venus behaviors.
